Apple iPhone 16 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy S24+
Our Verdict: The Apple iPhone 16 Plus came out in 2024, after the Samsung Galaxy S24+ in 2024, so it's the more recent phone. The S24+ leads on camera hardware with a 50MP main sensor to the iPhone 16 Plus's 48MP, and the S24+ has the sharper display at 509 PPI to 460. Only the iPhone 16 Plus has a water-resistance rating (IP68); the S24+ has none. Only pay up for the S24+ if you'll use what it offers; if not, the iPhone 16 Plus makes more sense.
The iPhone 16 Plus is the cheaper one to own: around £767 over a typical contract, £136 less than the S24+.
