These are the first renders of Samsung's next flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, acquired from proven industry leaker OnLeaks. They are built from the factory CAD data Samsung shares with case makers months before launch, so the dimensions are exact and the shape and camera layout match the finished tablet. Below you will find the full 360° video, high resolution 5k renders, dimensions, expected UK price and how it compares to the current Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

The notch stays, and so does everything else
The most useful thing the CAD data settles is the front camera. In late June, an animation buried in One UI 9 beta firmware appeared to show a tablet with a centred hole-punch camera, prompting reports that the Tab S12 Ultra would ditch the notch for that cutout and slimmer bezels. The renders say otherwise: the shallow centre notch is staying exactly where it was on the Tab S11 Ultra, housing a single front camera. For the smaller Tab S12+, a certification image has since shown a camera sitting in the bezel, so neither model looks set to get one.
Update, 16 July: since we published this article, a live photo of the Tab S12 Ultra has surfaced via SammyGuru, and it verifies our renders: the finished tablet has the same design, notch included.
Round the back it is the same story: two individual lens rings in the top corner, an LED flash, the magnetic S Pen charging strip and the three-pin pogo connector for keyboard accessories all carry over.
Design and dimensions
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra measures 326.34 x 208.46 x 5.12mm, which rounds to 326.3 x 208.5 x 5.1mm: exactly the dimensions Samsung quotes for the current Tab S11 Ultra. In other words, the two tablets are the same size. That means the S12 Ultra stays one of the thinnest tablets ever made, and it strongly suggests the 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display carries over unchanged too.

Rumoured specifications
The upgrade story is inside the case. An Android Authority teardown of Samsung's AI Core app found the Tab S12 series paired with the chipset code MT6993, which is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a 3nm flagship chip and a healthy step up from the Dimensity 9400+ in the Tab S11 pair. A detailed SamMobile report backs that up and adds 12GB of RAM with at least 256GB of storage, a 12MP front camera with 4K video recording, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, an IP68 rating and an S Pen in the box. Both models are expected to ship with Android 17 and One UI 9.0.
The battery is reportedly staying put: Dutch site Galaxy Club found the Tab S12 Ultra keeps the same 11,600mAh capacity as its predecessor, with charging expected to stay at 45W. One more notable lineup change: there is no standard 11-inch Tab S12 expected this year, leaving just the 12.4-inch Tab S12+ and this 14.6-inch Ultra.

Expected UK price
Based on the outgoing Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra's launch prices and an unchanged design and battery, we expect the Tab S12 Ultra to launch at roughly:
For context, the Tab S11 Ultra launched in the UK at £1,199 for the Wi-Fi model with 256GB, rising through £1,299 (512GB) and £1,549 (1TB), with 5G versions £150 more at each tier. With so little changing on the outside, matching those prices would be the natural move.
However, given the industry-wide RAM shortage, it's possible these prices could be slightly higher than expected.
Should you wait for the Tab S12 Ultra, or buy the Tab S11 Ultra now?
If you need a tablet now, the Tab S11 Ultra is a safe buy: the S12 Ultra brings the same body, display and battery, and the main gain is a faster chip. At the time of writing Amazon has the Wi-Fi 256GB model at £1,019, a £180 saving on its launch price. If you can wait until the autumn, the S12 Ultra gets you the newer Dimensity 9500 and a longer software runway, and S11 Ultra prices should drop further once it lands.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra FAQ
When will the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra be released?
Samsung has not announced a date. Tipster reports point to a September 2026 announcement, one year on from the Tab S11 series, and the tablet is already passing through global certification bodies.
How much will the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra cost in the UK?
We expect around £1,199 for the Wi-Fi model with 256GB and around £1,349 for the 5G version, matching the Tab S11 Ultra's launch prices, though industry-wide RAM price rises could push those figures slightly higher.
What chipset will the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra use?
The strong rumour is MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9500. References to its MT6993 model code were found alongside the Tab S12 series in a teardown of Samsung's own AI Core app, and it would be the third Galaxy Tab generation in a row on MediaTek silicon.
Is there a standard 11-inch Galaxy Tab S12?
Reportedly not. Leaks indicate the 2026 lineup is just the 12.4-inch Tab S12+ and the 14.6-inch Tab S12 Ultra, mirroring the two-model Tab S11 range.
Are these official Samsung images?
No. They are renders created from leaked factory CAD data, not official Samsung marketing images. They are accurate for size and shape, but final colours and finish may differ.
