Our Verdict: The Galaxy S24 Ultra replaced the Galaxy S23 Plus after a year, and not a lot changed between them. The S24 Ultra has a dramatically higher-resolution main camera, 200MP against the S23+ 5G's 50MP, and the S24 Ultra has the stronger screen, bigger at 6.8" against 6.6" and sharper at 501 PPI. Storage goes higher on the S24 Ultra, up to 1TB against 512GB, and the S23+ 5G is the lighter phone at 195g against 232g. The S24 Ultra is worth the extra if the updates matter to you, but the S23+ 5G is a good buy if the price has dropped.
On price there's almost nothing between them: both work out around £719 over a full contract.
