Our Verdict: The Pixel 7 Pro is essentially last year's Pixel 6a 5G with a few updates. The 7 Pro has the better camera on paper, 50MP versus 12MP, and the 7 Pro packs the bigger battery, 5000mAh against 4410mAh, which should mean longer between charges in day-to-day use. The 7 Pro has the stronger screen, bigger at 6.7" against 6.1" and sharper at 513 PPI, and storage goes higher on the 7 Pro, up to 256GB against 128GB. Get the 7 Pro if you want the newer hardware; if not, the 6a 5G is usually cheaper and does much the same job.
If you'd rather pay up front, the 6a 5G is the cheaper buy at £135 SIM-free.
