Our Verdict: The Pixel 7a 5G replaced the Pixel 6 Pro after a year, and not a lot changed between them. The 7a 5G has the better camera on paper, 64MP versus 50MP, and the 6 Pro packs the bigger battery, 5003mAh against 4385mAh, which should mean longer between charges in day-to-day use. The 6 Pro has the stronger screen, bigger at 6.7" against 6.1" and sharper at 512 PPI, and storage goes higher on the 6 Pro, up to 256GB against 128GB. Get the 7a 5G if you want the newer hardware; if not, the 6 Pro is usually cheaper and does much the same job.
Buying outright, the 7a 5G starts at £140 SIM-free.
